ZyrCold Syrup is used to treat Cough and allergic reactions (allergic conjunctivitis, eczema, hay fever, insect bite reactions, hives, urticaria, etc.). An allergy is an immune system response to foreign elements typically not harmful to your body. These foreign elements are known as ‘allergens’. Allergic condition varies from person to person. Some might be allergic to certain foods and seasonal allergies like hay fever. While others might be allergic to pollen or pet dander. One of the symptoms of allergy is cough. Cetirizine belongs to a class of drugs called antihistamines or anti-allergics. It blocks the effects of a chemical messenger known as ‘histamine’, which is naturally involved in allergic reactions. It helps to provide relief from symptoms of allergy such as sneezing, running nose, watery eyes, itching, swelling, and congestion or stiffness. Ambroxol is a mucolytic that thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.

ZyrCold Syrup is taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The dose you are given will depend on your condition and how you respond to the medicine. In some cases, you may experience tiredness, sleepiness, dry mouth etc. Most of these side effects of ZyrCold Syrup do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

ZyrCold Syrup should not be used unless prescribed by a doctor. Always take ZyrCold Syrup exactly as your doctor has told you. Your doctor will advise you on how often you take your tablets based on your medical condition. You may take ZyrCold Syrup with or without food.Tablet: Swallow it as a whole with water; do not crush, break or chew it.Liquid/syrup: Shake the bottle well before use. Drug-Drug Interaction: This medicine may interact with other anti-allergic drugs (aprepitant, diphenhydramine), Sedatives (alprazolam, lorazepam, diazepam), blood thinners (warfarin), etc.

Drug-Food Interaction: ZyrCold Syrup may interact with other herbal/ayurvedic supplements. There is limited evidence regarding the same. So, if you are using any of the OTC items, please tell your doctor.

Drug-Disease Interaction: Let your doctor know if you have kidney disease, epilepsy, and alcoholism before taking ZyrCold Syrup .
