Description
About Rantac MPS Sugar Free Elaichi Suspension
Rantac MPS Sugar Free Elaichi Suspension belongs to a group of medicines called antacids and antiflatulents used to treat acidity, dyspepsia (indigestion), flatulence (gas), heartburn and stomach upset. The stomach is usually protected from the acid by a mucous layer. In some cases, the mucous layer gets eroded due to excess acid production, which leads to complications like acidity and heartburn.
Rantac MPS Sugar Free Elaichi Suspension contains Magaldrate (antacid) and Activated Polydimethylsiloxane (antiflatulent). Magaldrate works by neutralising excess stomach acid. Activated Polydimethylsiloxane lowers the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitating gas expulsion through flatus or belching (burping). It also prevents the accumulation and formation of gas in the digestive tract.
Use Rantac MPS Sugar Free Elaichi Suspension in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Rantac MPS Sugar Free Elaichi Suspension is generally safe to use. However, some may experience side effects like constipation, altered taste, bloating/gas, diarrhoea, nausea, and vomiting. Although not everyone experiences these side effects, please seek medical attention if they occur.

Disease/Condition Glossary
Dyspepsia (Indigestion):Â Indigestion is the inability to digest food and is associated with pain and discomfort in the stomach. Symptoms include bloating, abdominal pain, burning sensation in the stomach, gas, and belching.
Flatulence:Â It is the build-up of gas in the digestive system that can lead to abdominal discomfort.
Acidity:Â The stomach is usually protected from the acid by a mucous layer. In some cases, the mucous layer gets eroded due to excess acid production, which leads to complications like acidity.
