The stomach is usually protected from acid by a mucous layer. In some cases, the mucous layer gets eroded due to excess acid production, which leads to complications like acidity and heartburn.

Gastracid Natural Orange Flavour Sugar Free Liquid is a combination of four drugs: Calcium Carbonate, Simethicone, Magnesium Trisilicate and Magnesium Hydroxide. Calcium Carbonate, Magnesium Trisilicate and Magnesium Hydroxide work by neutralising excess stomach acid. Simethicone decreases the surface tension of gas bubbles, thereby facilitating gas expulsion through flatus or belching (burping). Together, Gastracid Natural Orange Flavour Sugar Free Liquid relieves acidity, heartburn, indigestion, gastritis (stomach inflammation), and stomach upset.

Depending on your medical condition, you are advised to take Gastracid Natural Orange Flavour Sugar Free Liquid for as long as recommended. In some cases, you may experience certain common side effects such as constipation, loss of appetite, weakness and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Inform your doctor before taking Gastracid Natural Orange Flavour Sugar Free Liquid if you have low phosphate levels, high magnesium levels, or kidney or liver problems. Drug-Drug Interactions: Gastracid Natural Orange Flavour Sugar Free Liquid may have an interaction with HIV medications (e.g. cabotegravir, dolutegravir, raltegravir), medications used to treat certain cancer (e.g. erdafitinib, infigratinib, selpercatinib, sotorasib), medicines used to treat hyperkalemia (e.g. patiromer, sodium polystyrene sulfonate).
