Colospa Retard 200 mg Capsule is a class of medicines called ‘antispasmodic’ (spasm and cramps reliever) agent primarily used to treat inflammatory bowel syndrome (IBS), stomach pain due to spasms, cramps, and bloating. Inflammatory bowel syndrome is an umbrella term describing complications that involve chronic inflammation of your digestive tract. Besides this, abdominal spasms are acute condition in which the abdominal muscles (abs), intestine, and stomach contract severely.

Colospa Retard 200 mg Capsule contains ‘Mebeverine’ that works by blocking calcium channels and muscarinic receptors on the smooth muscle, which cause muscle contraction and pain sensation, thereby stopping sudden muscle contractions (spasms) and reducing abdominal pain caused due by spasms, cramps, and gas formation, bloating, and discomfort.

You are advised to take Colospa Retard 200 mg Capsule for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical conditions. In some cases, you may experience skin rash. Most of the side effects of Colospa Retard 200 mg Capsule do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor. Please inform your doctor immediately if you experience difficulty in breathing, or swelling of the face, neck, lips, tongue, or throat.

Directions for Use

Take Colospa Retard 200 mg Capsule 20-30minutes prior to food. Swallow Colospa Retard 200 mg Capsule as a whole with a glass of water; do not chew or crush it. Depending on your medical condition, your doctor will decide how long you need to take Colospa Retard 200 mg Capsule .
