About Emanzen-D Tablet

Emanzen-D Tablet is used to treat pain and inflammation. Pain can be temporary (acute) or lifelong (chronic) in nature. Acute pain is, for a short time, caused by damage to the tissues of the muscle, bone, or organs. While chronic pain lasts for a longer duration and is caused due to nerve damage, osteoarthritis, and dental pain due to damage of the tooth nerve, infection, decay, extraction, or injury.

Emanzen-D Tablet contains Diclofenac sodium and Serratiopeptidase. Diclofenac sodium works by blocking the action of a chemical messenger known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX), which causes pain and swelling in the injured or damaged tissue. Serratiopeptidase is a proteolytic enzyme that helps in the breakdown of fibrin, a by-product of blood clots, into smaller units. It also promotes fluid drainage in the swollen tissue. Together, Emanzen-D Tablet treats pain and inflammation.

Take Emanzen-D Tablet as prescribed. Your doctor will advise you how often you take Emanzen-D Tablet based on your medical condition. Common side effects of Emanzen-D Tablet include stomach ache, diarrhoea, nausea (feeling sick), and indigestion. Most of these side effects of Emanzen-D Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Do not take Emanzen-D Tablet if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. It is not recommended for use in children. Emanzen-D Tablet may be associated with a small increased risk of heart attack/myocardial infarction; therefore, inform your doctor if you have/had heart problems. Consult your doctor before taking Emanzen-D Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is advisable not to exceed the recommended dose or duration of treatment.

Emanzen-D Tablet relieves pain and inflammation. It is composed of Diclofenac sodium and Serratiopeptidase. Diclofenac sodium plays a vital role in reducing pain and inflammation by blocking the release of chemical messengers which cause pain and fever. Serratiopeptidase is a proteolytic enzyme that helps in the breakdown of fibrin, a by-product of blood clots, into smaller units. It also promotes fluid drainage in the swollen tissue. Together, Emanzen-D Tablet helps provide relief from pain and inflammation.

Directions for Use

Take Emanzen-D Tablet during or after the meal to minimize stomach upset or irritation symptoms. Swallow it as a whole with water. Do not chew, crush or break it.

Drug Warnings

If you have a severe allergy to painkillers and complications like asthma, rhinitis, angioedema (swelling under the skin) or skin rashes, consult your doctor before taking Emanzen-D Tablet . Consumption of alcohol should be avoided during the treatment with Emanzen-D Tablet as it may lead to unpleasant side effects. Patients with stomach ulcers, gastric bleeding, severe heart failure, stroke, and hypertension (high blood pressure), should not take Emanzen-D Tablet . Besides this, it should be avoided during the last trimester of pregnancy unless advised otherwise by a doctor. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery as intake of Emanzen-D Tablet may cause dizziness. Patients who have recently undergone heart bypass surgery should take Emanzen-D Tablet with caution and only under medical supervision.

Drug Interactions

Drug-Drug Interaction: Emanzen-D Tablet may interact with painkillers (nimesulide, oxyphenbutazone, metamizole), anti-cancer (methotrexate), lithium, iodine, and blood clotting agents (warfarin).

Drug-Food Interaction: Drinking alcohol should be avoided while taking Emanzen-D Tablet as it can cause unpleasant effects.

Drug-Disease Interaction: People with peptic ulcer, gastric bleeding, severe heart failure, stroke, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, alcoholism, and high blood pressure should avoid intake of Emanzen-D Tablet .

Diet & Lifestyle Advise

  • Include more glucosamine, chondroitin sulphate, Vitamin D, calcium-enriched supplements. Besides this, turmeric and fish oils can help in reducing inflammation in the tissue.

  • Do not go for heavy exercise as it may increase joint pain in arthritis. Instead, you can do stretching, low impact aerobic exercises like walking on a treadmill, bike riding and swimming. You can also strengthen your muscle by lifting light weights.
  • In the chronic condition of arthritis or joint pain try to include fish like salmon, trout, tuna, and sardines. These fishes are enriched with omega-3 fatty acids that minimize the level of chemicals called cytokines, which ramp up inflammation.
  • Your sitting posture is important especially when have pain and inflammation conditions. Try to sit little as possible, and only for short time (10-15 min). Use back support like a rolled-up towel at the back of your curve to minimize pain. Keep your knees and hips at a right angle. Besides this, you can use a footrest if required.
